SBAI Welcomes New Stakeholders: AMX, CIBC Pension, and UN Joint Staff Pension

CIBC Pension Plan

The CIBC Pension Plan is a defined benefit pension plan sponsored and administered by CIBC, one of Canada’s largest financial institution, and covers more than 60,000 members. The Plan has approximately $10 billion in assets, which are overseen by CIBC's Pension Investment Management group.

United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund

The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund was established in 1949, by a resolution of the General Assembly, to provide retirement, death, disability and related benefits for staff upon cessation of their services with the United Nations, and the other organizations admitted to membership in the Fund. As an independent inter-agency entity, the Fund operates under its own Regulations as approved by the General Assembly and, in accordance with its governance structure, is administered by the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board, which currently consists of 33 members, representing the 25 member organizations.
