Funds managed or advised by Cryder have since grown to approximately $2.1 billion, of which 20% represents the General Partner. Cryder invests on behalf of very long duration institutional and sophisticated HNW clients. Cryder has a clear objective, to compound cash flow based intrinsic value at 15% gross IRR or better. This is achieved by investing with a long-term horizon in a concentrated, focussed portfolio of high quality and resilient global public companies, all of which are capable of disciplined cash flow-based analysis and evaluation. Decades of experience in corporate finance, private equity and as investors in public companies has equipped the Cryder Investment Partners with a nuanced understanding of what drives long term compounding and how to optimise a portfolio for those factors. Ferdinand Groos is the Managing Partner of Cryder.

The firm manages its investments via two strategies: a long/short fund and a long-only fund. Both funds invest in an all-cap, factor agnostic, concentrated and long-term manner, typically holding 15-20 securities with an average hold period of 5+ years. Heard Capital seeks to combine position selection, sizing and sell discipline in order to meet its investment objectives over the long term.
